I am an interdisciplinary artist specialized in painting, photography, drawing and sculpture. My work spans from the figurative to the abstract, including documentation of live art performance, exploration on cityscapes and motion photography.
I made a decision in late 2008 to return and pursue my passion for the fine art world and started formal studies at Emily Carr University and extended my art vision by attending the photography program at Langara College. Although an artist at heart, I divide and extend my time between art and technology.
I included photography as a new medium for my artistic vocabulary to produce thoughtful, provocative, and ambitious high-quality images embracing human movements with aesthetic and symbolic values and artistic narrative. I have specialized and focused my professional photography practice on documenting live performances for dancers, musicians, and scenic artists in Vancouver BC.
As an artistic photographer, I also live pursuing THE image that satisfies my passion for visually communicating emotions, and stories found in live performing art . The scenic parformance, the dance, the music concerts are full of endless, diverse, and intriguing frames asking to be captured, I have embodied my artistic vision around the concept of Human Motion, see this journey visiting https://www.liveartsphotography.com
I am member of CAPIC, the Contemporary Art Society of Vancouver, Vancouver Contemporary Art Gallery, Vancouver Art Gallery, Federation of Canadian Artists, and Canadian Artists’ Representation/Le Front des artistes canadiens.
