I am an interdisciplinary artist specializing in painting and photography. My work spans from the figurative to the abstract, including documentation of live art performances, exploration of cityscapes and motion photography. I am well known for motion trail images, performing arts photography and colourful oil paintings. I studied Fine Art and Painting Techniques at Emily Carr University and continued honing my knowledge and skills in Photography at Langara College in Vancouver, B.C.
I began my art career exploring figurative painting, portraits, and landscapes and expressing ecological concern in the Conflicted Landscapes series. I also have explored the bas-relief techniques with oil paint as the only medium in the series Cabriole: female dancing figures. I have exhibited in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, and some of my works are part of private and public collections. In the latest painting series, Endless Motion, completed in 2021, I shifted to a style influenced by his photography practice and kept the colourful theme.
In addition to my art practice I offer more than five years of experience as a specialized photographer in documenting live performances in theatre. The scenic parformance, the dance, the music concerts are full of endless, diverse, and intriguing frames asking to be captured, see this journey visiting https://www.liveartsphotography.com.
I am a member of CAPIC, the Contemporary Art Society of Vancouver, Vancouver Contemporary Art Gallery, Vancouver Art Gallery, Federation of Canadian Artists, and Canadian Artists’ Representation/Le Front des artistes canadiens.
